How to tune a used bow?
I have recently bought a bow that was set up for someone that was taller than me. It is in Mint Condition and I would really like to start using it. Every time I shoot with it I shoot very high. I set the nock with a level but I dont feel that I may have done it right. So I am still using my older but reliable bow. Does anyone one have some hints or tips? I hate to see good money go to waste on something that I know will work if tuned properly!
This a Compound Bow
I am using a cheaper release that came with the bow. I have pin sights. I am using a round peep sight. the draw weight is at 60 pounds . I have never used all of these features on a bow. I have always looked down the shaft of the arrow and have been very a very consistant shooter. I was taught with a Recurve Bow. I have been hunting with a compund but I have been using my natural point of aim.
My advice is to go to an Archery Pro shop.They will get you set up right.
