Can I rub petroleum jelly on my hickory longbow?
I bought an unfinished longbow and I don't know if I should leave it as is or what. I read that petroleum jelly works great. If this is true, how is this done? Does anyone know of a better method?
Ok, without the dirty minded responses please. To keep the BOW...as in "archery" for THE Grownups, in the traditional maintenance for a traditional LONGBOW? Bees wax? Pitch? Suggestions..... Please.
