Despite all these considerations there is one thing that remains clear here: personal taste and craftsmanship clearly influence the jewel choice too.

Johnny walker gold label - how do I freeze it?

It states in the JW website that the best way to drink it is to pre-freeze the bottle for 24hours. How do I do it? Wouldn't the alcohol be frozen in the bottle? Would the bottle crack? Need some help. Thanks!
Read the replies as of now. So there is no chance of the bottle exploding in the freezer?

They do recommend this (however many whisky experts say this is a stupid thing to do). I have done it only because it is suggested by the makers of the whisky itself. You just have to put the bottle in a freezer. It wont break, or turn to ice. If you have already had a few drinks from it, then there may be some ice - however, this will melt within a minute or two of being taken out the freezer.

Pour a measure (neat - as in, no ice or mixer of any sort) then take a small sip. Note the initial coldness of the liquid and how it slowly warms up into a lovely alcohol warmth with tastes of honey and berries and all sorts of lovely things.
