The Right Skin Tone Colors For You

When choosing swimwear, it's very important that you pick out colors that compliment your skin tone. No two people on this earth have the exact same skin color so remember when picking out your particular bikini, choose what is proper for you. Just because your best friend can wear a bright red polka dotted swimsuit and look great doesn't mean You Can too. It might make you look like a clown. You might look great in a pastel pink with blue trim bathing suit that's tailored just for you. Here are some general tips to consider with regard to your specific skin tone. We are going to separate them in terms of pale, olive, caramel, and dark brown. You might not be exactly any of those skin tones but you are in between them.

If you have very pale skin and it's impossible to tan, then you would look good in soft pastel colored swimwear. The lighter colors will blend in well with your sensitive skin tone. Of course you could wear a bright red bikini if you choose but it will be strikingly noticeable. Plus if you are pale and should happen to get sunburned, the red bathing suit and your red skin will make you look like a lobster. Stick to the light colors like beige, peach and baby blue to show off your genuine and unique skin tone.

For olive skin tones, you can wear blues and greens without any problem. Those colors bring out the naturalness of your skin color. Mixing the colors up would work well for you like wearing a swimsuit with a green top and blue bottom with green trimming or dots. Purple and burgundy would also be very vibrant colors that you could wear.

Caramel skin should capture colors of the earth. Orange, peach and green are great colors that show off the depth of caramel skin. Mixing and matching the bikini colors is also a great idea for you. Having caramel skin also allows you to flaunt deep rich red colors if mixed in nicely with a few accessories like hats or scarves.

Dark brown to black skin looks great in brown, black and even white. The white would be very noticeable but it also brings out and compliments the rich skin tone. Bright red would be very vibrant but it's also another color that brings out the dark texture. Stick to colors that look good on you overall so you can walk around in that sexy swimsuit with pride.

No matter what skin tone or color you have, just remember that you are beautiful and unique in Your Own special way. Choose colors that fit you the best and don't worry about any one else unless you're buying them a gift.

How do I mix a color wash to paint transparent detail over crackle paint?

I am trying to paint a dresser to match a bed I bought at Posh Tots, but don't know how to mix the pastel paints done over the crackle. Check out a picture of the look I'm going for here...

http://www.poshtots.com/catalog/pop/product_images.asp?product_id=2694

There are quite a few colors I would like to use when painting the detail, so I was hoping to just mix some from my collection of acrylic tube paints. Is this possible?

Should I put a sealer over the crackle paint before doing the color wash? If not, will the color wash crackle too?

Thanks so much for your help!

Lacy

I would check with some of the good home paint stores in your area because the products that created that bed finish areformulated to work together and to get the same effect with paints that are not preformulated would be lucky at best. I have been trying to find a topcoat that I can paint on my Oil paintings and so far have not had good luck. I used to paint furniture with a cracle laquer finish and I know that with out the formulated paints and good timing it is diffficult to achieve a good crackle finish.

The Ultimate Gift Idea for Shoppers on the Run

Time. It’s that unforgiving part of life that spares no one. So what can be the ultimate gift strategy for shoppers like you and me whose daily life forbids us the luxury of looking for gifts in the traditional way?

The answer is online shopping for Gift Baskets that are suited for the interests or hobbies of the gift receiver. The first reason to do so is that it’s an effective method to obtain a top quality item that can match the occasion or the recipient’s personality. The second reason is that it can be shopped for and delivered to any location desired in a very time-efficient way. Let’s look at the first benefit of this plan of action.

Gift Baskets have a very extensive menu of theme choices to consider. For instance, is there an occasion such as a birthday, new baby, or wedding coming up that needs a special response from you? How about holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and upcoming Father’s Day that you wish to celebrate with loved ones?  Well, there are Gift Baskets that specialize in commemorating these events with others on your behalf.

Do you feel that the ultimate gift needs to be better focused on the recipient’s interests, tastes or hobbies? There are baskets or creative containers that are specific to the themes of golf, fishing, NASCAR, barbeque, gardening, chocolate, coffee, tea, bath spa luxury, movies and even casinos! Also, there are selections that are packed with foods that are Italian, gourmet, or healthy.

Are there situations such as friends, co-workers, or family members who feel under-the-weather and need your emotional support? How about a person you know who has lost someone special in their life and needs to know that you are grieving as well? Or need to express your personal or company’s appreciation for a favor bestowed or new business? Alas, the ultimate gift of a gift basket is ready to meet any of these situational needs as well!

OK, there is a wide selection of ideas to suit our specific shopping needs. Great! But can any or all of these be gotten in a way that spares me the agony of driving hither and thither in a search that may prove to be in vain? Is there a way to cut to the chase and have the gift in my hands or the lucky beneficiary’s in a timely way? What is the route to take that will allow anyone with limited time on their hands to get the gift-giving mission accomplished to perfection?

The most time-efficient way to meet this goal is to buy the Gift Baskets online whether within the comfy confines of your home or during break-time at work. You would simply use your favorite search engine (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc) and type in the keyword phrase(s) that would best fit the type of present that you are after.  It may only take a few minutes to find the right item within your budget. You would then just fill-out the shipping, billing, safe credit card info, and even a personal message if you wish.

The Gift Basket can be shipped overnight if the deed must be accomplished pronto or second day delivery if a little less so. Ground shipping is the way to go when you’ve got some more time to spare. The item can be sent to you so that You Can hand it to the honoree in-person or can be delivered to the very doorstep of the recipient. It’s totally your call!

How more effective and efficient in gift shopping can you possibly get? Take the advice of aGiftBasketParadise.com and use the ultimate gift giving strategy described above when time is not on your side and ready to skip town.

Relax and Dye...... The ultimate choice......?

For those chemical hair straighteners out there...... do you dye your hair as well? Permanent or rinse?

Is it safe even though you have relaxed hair?

if you get a relaxer...DO NOT dye it at the same time...it can be VERY damaging. however, you can rinse it at the same time with no problem. If you want to use a permanent color make sure you use about 3 weeks after your relaxer and 3 weeks before you get a touch up. Also, make sure the permanent color you use is specified for hair that has been relaxed and has lots of moisturizers in it. hope this helps.

Blazer

A blazer is a type of jacket, often double-breasted, and sometimes single-breasted, worn as smart casual clothing. The term blazer is also sometimes used as a synonym for boating jacket or sports jacket, though in fact it is neither. A blazer resembles a suit jacket, except that it has a more casual cut, and features as patch pockets with no flaps and metal buttons. A blazer's cloth is usually durable, because it was designed as a sporting jacket. They often form part of the uniform of bodies such as airlines, schools, and yachting or rowing clubs.

<a href="http://www.himfr.com/buy-f1_race/">f1 race</a>The blazer began as a jacket worn in boat clubs, for rowing, and was brightly coloured, often striped, with contrasting piping, and single breasted; it was essentially an early sports jacket. At that time, the double breasted, navy blue jacket was known as a reefer jacket. Eventually, as the original blazer became less common, the term come to be applied to the naval version, which gained its modern metal buttons. It is still sometimes called the reefer jacket, and is worn in its original form by some yachting clubs.

The blazer is worn with wide variety of other clothes, ranging from a shirt and tie, to an open-necked polo shirt. It is seen with trousers of all colours, from the classic grey flannel, to white cotton, and brown or beige chinos.

The blazer is now very common in some parts of the world, such as in America, where it forms a major part of business casual wear, and it seen as appropriate for nearly all situations in some part of America.

It is worn as part of school uniform by many schools across the Commonwealth, and in a wide range of colours is still daily wear for most pupils in Britain and Australia. These are blazers in the traditional sense, single breasted often of bright colours or with piping. This style is also worn by some boat clubs, such as those in Cambridge or Oxford, with the piped version only on special occasions such as a boat club dinner. In this case, the piping is in college colours, and college buttons are worn. This traditional style can be seen in many films set in around the Edwardian era, such as Chariots of Fire and Kind Hearts and Coronets.

In the Commonwealth, many regimental associations (veterans' organisations) wear 'regimental blazers' which consist of a blazer with a large representation of the regiment's badge on the breast pocket, usually in the form of a wire badge, and sometimes regimental blazer buttons. In the British army officers do not normally wear badges on their blazers (or boating jackets).[2] Any two regimental blazers will very rarely be the same, as they are made up from different civilian sources and are not issued by any authority. This has come to be representative of the fact that the members of the association are now civilians, but retain the bond that the badge represents. The standard colour is navy blue, although in some associations different colours are worn, such as rifle green for the associations of rifle regiments.

Where the blazer is part of the dress of a school, college, sports club, or armed service veterans' association, it is normal for a badge to be sewn to the breast pocket. In schools, this may vary according to the student's standing in the school; whether a member of the junior or senior school, being a prefect or having been awarded colours. Colours are awarded in recognition of particular achievement in some academic or sporting field.

The term blazer originated with the red 'blazers' of the Lady Margaret Boat Club, the rowing club of St. John's College, Cambridge. The Lady Margaret jackets were termed blazers due to their bright red 'blazing' colour, and the term was adopted for wider use later. These early blazers were like later sports jackets, but this term has never referred to blazers, instead describing jackets derived from the later innovation of wearing odd jackets for land-based sports. Assertions that the name is derived from HMS Blazer are not borne out by contemporary sources, although it is reported that before the standardisation of uniform in the Royal Navy, the crew of HMS Blazer wore 'striped blue and white jackets', apparently in response to the sailors of HMS Harlequin being turned out in harlequin suits.

The reefer jacket was of naval origin, and described the short double breasted jacket worn by sailors in harsh weather, when they perform duties such as reefing the sails. It is descendents of this which are now commonly described by the term blazer.

Striped blazers became popular among British mods in the early 1960s, and again during the mod revival of the late 1970s particularly in three-colour thick/thin stripe combinations, with three-button single breasted front, five or six inch side or centre vents and sleeve-cuffs with multi-buttons. Various photos from 1964 and 1965 show London mods in boating blazers. Photos of mod icons The Who from 1964 (as the High Numbers) variously show Pete Townshend, Keith Moon and John Entwistle wearing boating blazers. Another mod band, Small Faces, and other bands liked by mods such as The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames, The Animals, The Yardbirds, The Moody Blues and The Troggs had band members wearing striped blazers/boating jackets or later, brightly-coloured blazers with wide white or other light edging. Buttons on these later blazers often became non-metal, sometimes in the same colour as the edging. The earlier style of striped blazers can be seen in the film Quadrophenia. The later bright style of blazer was affectionately adopted by Austin Powers as part of his Swinging London look.

Is a 2 button blazer for one type of body shape and a 3 button for another? 2 button looks more Euro?

but are there any other differences?

3 button more formal etc? Is there a rule?

IMO, If you're more than 6' tall, you'll always look your best in a 3 button. If you happen to be less than 6' tall, You Can rock both, but 3 is best for formal occasions.

How Color Printing is Defined

Color printing is the reproduction of an image or text (or both) in color, rather than in black and white.

Of course, it is not quite that simple. There are different techniques used to reproduce color images and text. This article will discuss two of these methods and which process to use when.

Four-color process

The four-color process is used to print items that have a full spectrum of colors, such as a color photograph. The four colors include three primary colors – cyan, magenta and yellow, along with black (known as CMYK for short). Another full-color printing method, the six-color process, is newer and adds orange and green to the CMYK palette, which provides a bigger and brighter color range. The colors produced are known as process colors.

Spot-color process

Whereas the four-color process mixes four colors together in different combinations to produce different colors, spot color ink is used alone, rather than mixed, to make various colors. Spot color ink can be used in combination with four-color inks if needed.

Spot color inks are nearly unlimited in color range and can be more varied than the color produced by the four-color process. Spot color inks can print colors from pastels to metallics and other finishes. The colors produced are known as spot colors.

Spot color printing is generally cheaper to produce than process color printing, but spot colors are not appropriate for any material that includes a photo or a wide range of colors.

So how do you know which process to use when?

Use process colors if:

-you are using full color photos

-you need more than two spot colors (otherwise, your spot color printing cost could get more expensive than process color printing)

-your document includes many different graphics with many shades of color

Use spot colors if:

-You have no full color photos – your photos only include one spot color and black

-you repeatedly need a color that CMYK can’t produce properly (for instance, if your logo is going to be printed over and over)

-you need colors that are more vibrant

-you want to use metallic or fluorescent colors

-you have a large printing area, such as a poster (spot colors cover well than process colors)

In addition, sometimes you need to use spot colors and process colors together, such as when:

- Your document has full-color photographs and you have your logo on the page, which includes a color that cannot be properly produced by CMYK

- You need to increase the intensity of a process color – adding a spot color ink will deepen the process color

- Your full color publication is coated with varnish, and varnish is designated as a spot color.

Too many colors on small house?

I have a small house with medium-light brown tin roof. We have chosen a brown one shade lighter than roof and wanted to paint trim with a creamy off white. But what about shutters and doors?? If we chose another color altogether for shutters and door would that be too many colors, too, many contrasts? Houses that I've looked at with shutters have their trim the same color as house and the shutters and door in a contrasting color or white trim with house color and shutters in coordinating colors. I don't want the house to look "busy" with too many colors contrasting--the brown roof, the light brown on the house, the cream on the trim and then the color of the shutters. Sounds like a lot for a small house. But I don't want to dull it down by not having enough contrast, either. Any suggestions or advice??

I would paint the 'body" of the house with the cream, and trim with the darker..the shutters can be accented or not your choice to your eye..I am A paint contractor and general rule is ligth color on body, darker color on trim..but rules are meant to be broken
